There's something bout Laramie Briscoe books. I'm completely smitten with her characters of MTF and their families but none more so than Ryan and Whitney. What's ten years? Nothing when love is deeply ingrained. Ryan is gorgeous, kind and does things for Whitney as truly a man deeply in love could do and more. Ageless and swoon worthy. If only i could be so lucky. Awesome read.

This starts out very hot and heavy and I nearly put it down. I didn't and he e to say that I was pleasantly surprised. There was some excellent suspense and some nice revenge. It highlighted the fact that it is still considered quite normal for a woman to marry a man who is 25 years senior to her but not so acceptable for a woman to be older than a man. The question you have to ask is why?

I knew, without a doubt, as soon as I read the blurb that I HAD to read this book. I’m a fan of Laramie’s and always look forward to her books. I was hooked as soon as I opened the book. Okay, I have to state the obvious, I was hooked just from the cover. Lord that man is HOT!

Okay so back to the story. I loved the storyline! Whitney is a thirty-five year old divorcee that just wants to feel that passion; that intense-hot as hell-can’t get enough passion. In walks her little brother’s best friend; he’s been in love/lust with her forever. Problem is, he’s ten years younger than Whitney but one night wouldn’t hurt right? After that night, they find themselves in a situation neither ever dreamed of.

Whitney was such a strong and brave character. When she let her guard down, she was fun and hilarious. Renegade was…well, he was perfect. Almost too perfect. I would have loved to see some sort of flaw with him because he was just dreamy!

As much as I loved the storyline, I felt let down many times throughout the book. I wish there was more drama, more angst. There were moments in the book where I thought, “Yes, here comes some angst” and then nothing. BUT that’s not a bad thing! I could see this book being made into a Hallmark Channel movie and I absolutely adore those movies!

I’m looking forward to Tank’s story; especially after he was described as a Jax look-alike. Hell yes please!

This is just another romance novel. Ryan’s character is too typical of a romantic lover and the writing is quite vivid with depictions which will help you visit the scenes in your head. I had hoped for an engaging story which was missing here. Still looking forward to reading more from the author.

I have been a long time fan of Laramie Briscoe's books. But it is safe to say, that she keeps getting better and better! I thought her alpha males in the Heaven Hill MC were fabulous, but these Task Force guys have them beat! Whitney and Ryan are an amazing couple. The story is fun, and the characters are well developed. I loved every page!
